Groundwater Disaster in Puerto
Rico - The Need for Environmental Education argues that although the industrialization of
Puerto Rico through pharmaceutical companies has greatly benefited the economy,
it has also had severe side effects on the environment. There are worries that
toxic chemicals from the pharmaceutical companies have leaked into the
groundwater system, which endangers the health of the population. This article
will help me in that it specifies a major cause as to why the pollution of
Puerto Rico’s waters are so important and how it impacts the people.
